This section is thought for developers who want to modify Nectarina Theme structure through a Child Theme. Please, don’t modify the main Nectarina Theme files if you don’t want to lose your changes when you update the theme.

If you don’t have any, create a Child Theme or install and activate default Child Theme included with Nectarina. Then, place the following hook functions inside the “functions.php” of your Child Theme.

Custom Excerpt “Read More…” text:

add_filter('nectarina_read_more_text', 'custom_read_more_text');

if ( ! function_exists( 'custom_read_more_text' ) ) {
   function custom_read_more_text() {
     return __('Your custom text', 'nectarina');
   }
}

Custom Related Posts title text:

add_filter('nectarina_related_posts_text', 'custom_related_posts_text');

if ( ! function_exists( 'custom_related_posts_text' ) ) {
   function custom_related_posts_text() {
     return __('Your custom text', 'nectarina');
   }
}

Edit the Icon of Twitter Post Sharing Button:

You can choose an icon name from this list:

add_filter('nectarina_post_sharing_buttons', 'edit_post_sharing_buttons');

if ( ! function_exists( 'edit_post_sharing_buttons' ) ) {
   function edit_post_sharing_buttons($buttons) {
     $buttons['twitter']['icon'] = 'circletwitterbird';
     return $buttons;
   }
}

Disable Email Post Sharing Button:

add_filter('nectarina_post_sharing_buttons', 'remove_post_sharing_buttons');

if ( ! function_exists( 'remove_post_sharing_buttons' ) ) {
   function remove_post_sharing_buttons($buttons) {
     unset($buttons['email-share']);
     return $buttons;
   }
}
